Overview
Senior FPGA Engineer - Newport - £400 day rate - 6 months contract - Inside IR35 I'm looking for an experienced engineer - fully versed in design methodologies, familiar with VHDL and experience working with either Altera / Microsemi or Xilinx to work as a Senior FPGA Engineer in Newport. Main duties: Analysing requirements, specifying and documenting the FPGA solution and work breakdown Preparing FPGA architectural designs and documentation Designing / generating and implementing FGPA design and implementing onto the target platform Providing FPGA technical support Representing the clients on project related matters at Stakeholder meetings. Desirable skills: Experience of FPGA design and implementation for communications equipment or equivalent Excellent knowledge of FPGA development process Recent experience with the following tools/dev environments: Altera Quartus II / Mentor ModelSim / MicroSemi Libero IDE, SoC / Xilinx Vivado Proficient in at least one simulation tool / FPGA synthesis tool Having a good understanding of requirements capture and work package definition / estimation.
