Project Controller / Project Planner job in Newport - £39,100 - £41,598 plus excellent benefits An excellent job opportunity has arisen for a Project Controller / Project Planner to join a highly established and renowned organisation in Newport. The organisation is embarking on an ambitious programme of business change, with a view to replace multiple bespoke applications with modern enterprise class systems. They are adopting a cloud first approach, which will transform the way in which they deliver their services to the business. The Project Controller / Project Planner will be responsible for maintaining an end to end programme level plan including dependency analysis by leading planning sessions, critical path analysis and providing time and cost forecasts throughout the programme. The Project Controller / Project Planner will be responsible for: The development and management of the transformation programme plan Running workshops Ensure that all project plans contain the most accurate information with any dependencies in the plan identified and tasks linked accordingly Contributing towards successful project delivery, whilst ensuring that all project activity is listed on MS Project and that all project activity is sufficiently resourced for Risk management Reporting on RAG status against Key Milestones identified within the plan Liaising with a range of key stakeholders throughout the organisation Providing time and cost forecasts throughout the programme Liaising with resource owners to ensure all forward resource demand is met The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following: A proven track record of having worked as a Project Controller / Project Planner, with proven experience of working within multi-disciplined teams to efficiently deliver complex digital technology projects in an environment of continual change Experience of running planning sessions, critical path analysis and providing forecasts An in-depth knowledge of various PPM methodologies (including PRINCE2, waterfall and Agile) and tools Hold a recognised professional project management qualification e.g. PRINCE2 / APM registered project professional or similar A proven track record of delivering high value complex programmes within agreed time, cost and quality constraints Experience of working within a complex & digital programme environment Experience managing and maintaining a programme plan Experience of providing forward looking resource demand profile for programmes Excellent stakeholder management skills Proven experience of ensuring that effective change management processes are fully implemented and that all proposed changes to the programme are documented to the programme manager Experience running workshops that support defining task activity This position offers excellent scope for career progression in addition to an excellent benefits package that includes: Flexible working scheme (which has no core hours and excellent opportunities for part-time, home and term-time working) 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increases to 30 days annual leave with service) A very generous pension scheme Training and development opportunities Bonus payments Medical care Free on-site car parking On site gym, restaurant and more Opportunities for secondments, both internal and external Healthcare cash plan If you would like to discuss this position in more detail, please apply with an updated CV and I will call you to discuss.
