Company: This company is working to battle air pollution, greenhouse gases, and food waste - by developing a range of zero-emission technologies powered by liquid nitrogen. They apply these technologies in refrigerated transport, built environment and commercial vehicles. The Role: This truly unique opportunity requires a leader with a can-do attitude and eager for a new challenge. Someone who is experienced in simulation & analysis, product development & lifecycle validation testing. You'll be required to manage a team of Development Engineers, Simulation Engineers & Technicians - being able to empathise, communicate effectively & work collaboratively with others is essential. Day to day activity will include: - Deliver simulation and development work packages across the company. - Coordinate the product development and validation activities across whole systems and subsystems. - The focus of this role will be on the Transport Refrigeration Unit (TRU); however, you will also support the Test & Build group in the maintenance and quality assurance of test facilities. - The role will require that you review and underwrite the technical reports and documentations that your team produce and ensure results and recommendations are communicated and delivered efficiently. - Good understanding of engine and systems validation and durability testing methods including problem solving techniques such as Ishikawa Diagrams, 8D. - Good understanding of mechanical systems (specifically piston engines), flow systems, thermodynamics and heat transfer fundamentals. - Experience in system level simulation software preferably GT-SUITE. - Good interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills. - This role will be based in London, with regular travel to meetings with partners, customers and suppliers in the UK and overseas.
