Overview
A highly successful, global Financial Services organisation is looking to appoint an ambitious Group Accountant to be based in Central London. Working closely with Senior Managers, the Group Accountant will be primarily responsible for ensuring that key financial reports are delivered correctly and on a timely basis. Group Accountant Key Responsibilities: Primary point of contact across various, strategic accounting and operational issues Support the Group consolidation process and prepare financial statements Ensure the integrity of results that are presented to key stakeholders Quickly interpret new accounting standards and regulatory procedures - work closely with both wider finance teams and the business to ensure consistency and ongoing compliance Support stakeholders with the external audit process Swiftly identify opportunities to improve processes and implement recommendations Ad hoc strategic analysis Candidate Requirements: Excellent academic record of achievement ACA Qualified (Top 10 Practice) Previous banking sector experience Ability to work with a complex, matrix structure Strong technical finance skills and a controls oriented approach Ability to accurately interrogate data from various sources Self sufficient with the ability to influence stakeholders Emotionally intelligent and confident working in a fast paced, professional environment Excellent IT / Finance systems skills This constitutes an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a role where they can make a mark and deliver meaningful change whilst working within a high growth, very successful company with ambitious plans for the future.
