Overview
We are looking for skilled, dynamic, motivated an experienced Social Worker within Children In Need for the London Borough of Harrow. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Social Worker to join the Children in Need team within the Children and Young People Service at Harrow Council. Harrow have been rated good by Ofsted and have recently participated in an external Adolescent Safeguarding Peer Review. This review again confirmed that social workers know their children well, demonstrate effective work with parents, and that quality of management oversight and quality assurance is very good. Social workers are well supported by leaders through systemic 1 to 1 and group supervision. Harrow Council is the 12th largest London borough and one of the most culturally diverse local authorities in the UK, making it a great place to live, work and visit. Located 10 miles from the city centre and just 13 minutes to Euston from Harrow & Wealdstone station there are great transport links via the Metropolitan Line, Watford DC Line and national rail service. It is easily accessible to the M1, M25 and A406. Responsibilities include: Investigation and assessment, following referrals to the service. Report Writing Working With PLO (Public Law Outline) Attending Child Protection meetings, Case Conferences and LAC reviews. Utilise Children In Need plans to work directly with Children Court Reports Section 47's Core Assessments Manage a caseload To be considered for this role, you will need: Experience of co-ordinating and delivering support through good quality child in need plans child protection and court work all effectively formulated to meet individual children's needs You will care about children and will consistently ensure that their voice is represented throughout your work Be able to work with complexities in responding to the changing need of communities such as contextual safeguarding for young people Working knowledge of all statutory duties and responsibilities relating to children and families, including: Experienced practitioner for Children in Need including those in need of Protection, and Children Looked After subject to public care proceedings. Post qualifying experience of working as a Qualified Social Worker - Children In Need Team within the UK Social Care industry. Confident in all of the above duties Why Choose Ackerman Pierce?
