Overview
Position - Site Technician / Static Role Location - Cardiff Salary/Package - Up to 25k depending on experience, On-site Van, Fuel Card, Mobile, 30 days Hol Inc. Stat, Pension Up To 7%, Life/Medical Insurance. Client My Client specialises in optimising the reliability and efficiency of industrial plants and projects. Their customised technologies and patented products for industrial water, paper and process treatment improve plant efficiency and plant lifetime as well as reducing costly down times. A very well established company that is one of only 30 companies worldwide to be listed in the Nature-Stock-Index (NAI). Role A Multi-national company who have gained a strong position in the UK, and now due to continuous growth are looking to for an additional Site Technician, who is ideally located in and around Cardiff, and has Industrial experience, and also experience on a Steel making/Water Treatment Plant. Responsibilities will be, but not limited to: - System balancing - Operating - Operating of back-up pumps - Changing spin filters Operating grab / crane to remove scale during normal operations, banksman for crane activities - Coordinating with subcontractors to remove sludge fines and/or scale by vacuum truck - Coordinating with subcontractor to remove scale using grab/crane during normal operations - Monitoring of discharges to sewer and controlled waters - Management of water quality and usage monitoring including meter reading - Monitoring water quality in interceptors and coordinating with subcontractors to remove sludge and waste from interceptors - Operating diesel-driven emergency pumps - Ensuring sufficient stock of water treatment chemicals to meet water quality requirements - General housekeeping of the Water Treatment Plant and follow 5s methodology - Cleaning the Water Treatment Plant during shutdown periods one per year Must Have or Hold: - Full UK Licence - No more than 6 Pts - Industrial/Manufacturing/Automotive Experience/Background - A Chemical Skill/Qualification would be beneficial but not essential If you are interested in applying for this new and exciting position with a growing company that offer genuine progression opportunities, then please call Ben Gibson on the listed number or ideally email with your current CV.
