Site Manager Cardiff - with travel involved - Cardiff/Bournemouth/London - company van provided £38,000 per annum van, Company Phone & Laptop Are you an experienced Site Manager looking for a new and challenging role? Do you have an SMSTS qualification coupled with Cladding and External Wall experience? If so, then we'd like to hear from you. Meridian Business Support are working exclusively with our Cardiff based client to recruit a Site Manager to work between multiple jobs. The Site Manager is responsible for safe delivery of a building project, ensuring it is within budget and meets all programme and quality targets. The Site Manager is responsible for resolving issues as they arise, or ensuring they are escalated and resolved by the Contract Manager where necessary. It is essential that a good proactive relationship is developed and maintained with the client to ensure successful completion of the current project and position of our client as a preferred contractor for any future work. Duties to include: Ensure all operatives/sub contractors are correctly inducted onto the sites on which they are required to work and that prior to anyone starting work, they have signed and are fully conversant with method statement and risk assessment Monitor the contract programme daily, identifying any shortfalls and immediately discussing them with the Contract Manager. Carrying out a daily review of planned activities with the site management team to enable them to co-ordinate our work with the others on site - always making time to attend progress meetings Producing a weekly report for each site managed, ensuring they are completed accurately and issued promptly on the agreed Ensuring labour allocation sheets are completed daily and are handed in with the weekly report Ensuring works are completed and snagged as the job proceeds and handover sheets are issued and signed promptly by the Maintaining careful control of all materials and plant on site, confirming stocks in the weekly report and ensuring any shortfall is ordered with the Contract Manager on the Thursday of the week before they are required Monitoring quality on a daily basis and take daily photographs to record site progress / delays Reporting delays caused by the action of others to the Contract Manager if you are delayed by the action of others. Ensuring all works are erected safely and braced correctly. Ensuring that you are in control of your area so you safely carry out your works and advising the Main Contractor if you see any unsafe practices carried out by others - if this situation persists then it should be raised with the Contract Confirming delivery dates to the Contract Manager so they can make everybody aware of what is required and when Always checking the structure at every floor level to ensure that your works are level and vertical before proceeding to the next stage Role requirements: SMSTS qualification Cladding and External Wall experience Render/brick slip experience First Aid Experience in Quality Control Sign Offs Willingness to travel to Bournemouth & London Interested?
