Overview
Senior Java Developer £500/day - Inside IR35 Contract - 6 months - Crawley Looking for a Senior Java Developer for a 6-month contract starting as soon as possible over in Crawley for a travel company. You will be involved in designing and developing software in a micro-service architecture as well as generating estimates for future development using Agile. You will need to be at a Senior level with strong proficiency in Java, an understanding of DevOps culture, familiarity with AWS, containerisation platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes and have the ability to liaise with other members in different teams to maintain projects and develop functional support for the company's products. Skills/expertise: Required Strong Java (other programming a plus too) Unit testing: Junit, Mock, Cucumber, BDD SQL, NoSQL, XML, SOAP, JSON Agile methodologies REST, SPA and MVC Maven/Gradle Spring Boot Docker/Kubernetes Strong code quality and testing experience Elasticsearch Cloud/AWS Desirable Knowledge of NodeJS, Angular (1 & 2) is desirable Experience with Lambda or API Gateway desirable You will be doing 20% analysis and design, 50% programming, testing and documentation, 10% controlling process and best practices, 5% support of products and 15% coaching and training.
