AWS Data Engineer - £40-65k - Cambridge- UK -Greenfield Work, Unrivalled Progression… Our client is looking for a Data Engineer to come in and join their developing team to work on a system responsible for collecting, storing, processing, and analysing of large sets of data. You will also be responsible for selecting and integrating any Big Data tools and frameworks required to provide requested capabilities. This role also offer a great opportunity for the right candidate to get involved in responsibilities outside of strict Data Engineering including but not limited Data Science algorithm development work. To be considered you should have: Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles Experience of AWS or other cloud Apache server hosts Experience with building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Storm or Spark-Streaming Good knowledge of Big Data querying tools, such as Pig, Hive, and Impala Management of Hadoop cluster, with all included services The company at hand are renowned around the world as being one of the best in their industry not only in the work they do for clients but also the environment they provide for their employees.
