Overview
Your new company One of the UKs leading installers of Architectural Glazing Systems are now recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor. Working with many well know contractors this Belfast based specialist sub-contractor has completed works across the UK and Ireland on many well-known projects across multiple sectors including leisure, commercial and residential. Priding themselves on the quality of their operatives, they believe in a policy of continuous improvement with an emphasis placed on training practices to ensure all personnel perform to their best ability. Due to continued growth they now require a Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Belfast. Your new role Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for both Pre-Contract and Post-Contract tasks including assisting the Commercial Build Team in tender preparations, liaising with the estimating department as and when required, document management and control and the appointment of sub-contractors. Based in Belfast, you will work alongside a team of Quantity Surveyors to ensure the timely completion of projects across the UK. Occasional travel to sites in the UK will be required depending on the stage of the project. What you'll need to succeed You will be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a Quantity surveying role preferably of a similar background. Working experience of JCT, NEC and bespoke arrangements is desirable but not essential. You should be proficient in the use of relevant software packages, have the ability to take ownership of responsibilities and be able to work in compliance with strict deadlines.
