Overview

Morgan Hunt are proud to be working in partnership with a well renowned National Charity who are looking to recruit a Legacy Manager. This is a great opportunity for an individual with great legal and fundraising experience looking to grow and develop managing a well-established legacy team. The team is the highest contributor to the fundraising income of the charity. The main responsibilities of the Legacy Manager role include, but are not limited to: Manage the legacy case team to process all legacies to charity with best practise Offer expertise at a senior level of legacy case administration, including expertise around inheritance and capital gains tax, will trusts, ex gratia payments and more general probate matters To oversee all contentious and high value cases and sign off on all decisions made in collaboration with the relevant colleagues or through external suppliers To work closely with finances to understand and support the requirements around the reporting of legacy income Responsible for reporting year to date notification performance, providing monthly legacy reporting and analysis where indicated into short term/long term trends As an ideal candidate for the Legacy Manager role based in Reading you will have: Legal degree or equivalent experience. Experience in Probate/charity/UK tax law. Strong working experience of gifts in will administration. Fundraising regulator codes linked to legacy giving and next of kin communication. As you will be line managing a team of 5/6, line management experience is essential. Ability to scrutinise accounts. CVs will be shortlisted as they come.
