IT Network Engineer - Central London - Up to 37,000 per annum The role Are you an IT Professional coming off the Service Desk and looking for an exciting new role? Want to take your technical skills to the next level? We are looking for an ambitious Network Engineer with a year's experience for a rapidly growing wealth management business. You will provide 2nd/3rd level support to network and systems infrastructure. Key duties Network Support and Implementation Services: - Deploying the Palo Alto branch firewall and Cisco switch solution for new remote offices. - Assisting 3rd Party engineers with remote office installation - Site to Site VPN creation and troubleshooting. - Implementation and maintenance of firewalls, including firewall rule, set creation and troubleshooting. - Implementation and maintenance of Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, routers, and peripherals. - Implementation and maintenance of routing using both static and dynamic routing protocols. - Implementation and maintenance of the Head Office and DR data (wired and wireless) and voice networks, including wireless - Managing the integration of VPN and authentication services like RSA, Certificate, and LDAP. - Implementation and maintenance of NAC solutions. - Provide 1st level support to the Internal Cisco VOIP system. - Utilising the SolarWinds to monitor the infrastructure and run reports for team KPI. - Identify and escalate any 3rd party connectivity/link issues to circuit providers. - Document and maintain network diagrams. - BCP Network Operations Support. Technologies they are working with: - Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE beneficial) - Juniper SSL VPN appliances - Cisco Switches / Routers (CCNA beneficial) - Forescout Network Access Control - TCP/IP Networking - Cisco VOIP Call Manager CUCM (Experience beneficial) - F5 Load Balancers (Experience beneficial) - Experience in the Financial industry preferred Skills required The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years' Service Desk experience or 1 years' experience troubleshooting network issues. Responsibilities include management, support and security of switches, firewalls, SSL VPN appliances, and related peripheral equipment. The role also includes responsibility for deploying and maintaining site-to-site VPNs between the data centers and 3rd parties or remote sites. A large proportion of the role's time will be to maintain Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco catalyst switches, and Juniper SSL VPN appliances.
