Opportunity We have an opportunity for an individual with legal knowledge and experience and/or support experience to join our group legal team to provide support to Charles Taylor’s business units on a wide range of commercial, legal & regulatory matters. The role offers the chance to join a growing, dynamic group, in a varied, interesting and challenging position. Key Responsibilities To provide a wide range of support to the group legal function, especially in relation to the review of and/or management and storage of contracts and other legal documents and agreements. To provide support and assistance in relation to corporate and other transactions (e.g. M&A) To assist with the management of the group’s insurance notifications/claims To assist the group legal team with its provision of legal advice and/or horizon scanning and to provide support to the various business units and/or compliance teams within the group Values Demonstrate and role model the Charles Taylor six Values by ensuring a Supportive Environment, upholding Excellence in People, focusing on Partnership with Clients, delivering High quality Work, promoting Group-wide Entrepreneurship and having an Appetite for Change. Ad Hoc Duties Your key accountabilities will include such other duties and tasks are as allocated to you at the discretion of management and that are within your capabilities and within the scope of your post. Person Specification A part or fully qualified lawyer with/without post qualified experience or someone with other legal training and/or experience with an eye for detail and a flexible client focused approach. The successful candidate will have the ability to work to deadlines and ideally previous in-house or industry (ideally professional and/or financial serices) experience.
