Head of Drama and English Teacher - Independent Boys Junior School Start Date: September 2020 Timetable: Full Time Contract: Fixed Term, with a view to potentially becoming permanent. Our client, one of the country's most highly regarded Independent Boys Junior Schools, is looking to appoint a Head of Drama and English teacher from September 2020. The School is consistently ranked among the top schools in the country, and is known for its academic successes. Boys from the Junior School go onto the Senior School, where in 2019 over 80% of GCSE's were graded 9/8 (A). The Junior School sits on the same site as the Senior School, and has done since its opening in 1912. Our client is based in the leafy and attractive Wimbledon, with transport routes connecting the school to Central London readily available. The school is also home to multiple sports pitches, and pays heavy attention to the sporting life of the school. The school are now looking for a Head of Drama and English teacher to teach a full timetable of both Drama and English, up to KS3 on a one-year fixed term contract from September 2020. The successful Head of Drama and English Teacher will need a good degree in a relevant field, and should have experience working with the British primary curriculum. The successful Head of Drama and English Teacher will also need to be enthusiastic about the subject and be willing to be part of the wider school ethos and particularly, with regards to planning and preparing school plays. The salary range is on the school's own scale, which is considerably above the national average, and is dependent on skillset, qualifications and experience.
