Overview

Membership and Database Manager BioIndustry Association (BIA) Location: Westminster, Central London. Salary: circa £35k p/a (dependent on experience) The Bioindustry Association are looking to recruit a Membership and Database Manager who will: take ownership of our membership database, be the go-to information expert, and ensure that all membership information is accurate and up to date plan and execute efficient membership processes relating to onboarding and renewals monitor the impact of marketing communications and lead generation, suggest and roll out improvements to increase effectiveness of these This role is responsible for managing both the BIA CRM and related CMS system, including any development required to increase member benefit and this individual will champion effective use of these systems through the organization. The Membership and Database Manager manages the membership renewals system, and membership services, including the roll out of business solutions to members, online membership portal and related functionality. In addition, this role will assist the Senior Membership and Business Development Manager and the Membership and Business Development Executive in achieving an organisation-wide membership sales and retention target. The Membership and Database Manager will have the following responsibilities: Membership Management Plan and oversee the monthly membership renewals processes – reminders, invoicing, follow up and subsequent reporting requirements Deliver an efficient and timely onboarding process for new members, providing new membership packs, log on details, and collecting relevant info from membership organisations Enroll members into the BIA business solutions programme and liaise with suppliers accordingly Work with credit control to identify and overcome any invoicing issues regarding membership and with the finance department to ensure accuracy of membership data and financial reporting Respond to existing member enquiries, coordinating with colleagues as necessary and ensuring appropriate and timely responses Lead on membership surveys and other market research requirements Remain fully up to date with BIA activities and initiatives and evaluate the relevance for members CRM/CMS Management Be the primary point of contact for, and champion of the BIA’s CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and the CMS. Ensure records are continually updated, all member records are accurate, up to date, and obtained/recorded in accordance with current data protection regulations Work with the Communications and Media Relations Manager to oversee the BIA website and member portal in terms of branding, accuracy, keeping BIA information up to date and overall effectiveness Scope and work with suppliers to implement relevant developments to CRM and CMS in order to increase member benefit. Act as day to day contact for suppliers where issue reporting and resolution are concerned Membership intelligence and outreach Initiate new tactics and best practices to identify, recruit, and retain prospective members Export membership lists, data and reports in various formats Scope and manage mailing lists for impactful campaigns Establish annual goals and metrics to evaluate membership acquisition and engagement Support new member recruitment activities within the wider Business Development and Membership Services team as agreed Provide analysis on effectiveness of marketing communications, and analysis of membership – provide reports in a suitable format Plan, commission and quality-control printed BIA marketing collateral in line with agreed branding and budget Delegate requirements Experience of managing membership databases and interlinking online functionality Experience of marketing and analytics plans across a range of platforms – digital experience in particular Experience of scoping online projects and working with selected suppliers to deliver to time and to budget Experience of managing system issues through to resolution with external suppliers Excellent oral and written communications Experience in using all standard Microsoft programmes is essential A self-starter who can work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail essential Able to demonstrate an analytic approach to data Education and work experience Degree (preferably in life sciences) Marketing qualification (at least working towards) Desirable Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics CRM A strong understanding of running a Corporate Membership scheme Please apply with CV and covering letter by 5pm Friday April 17 th 2020 to Riana Potamitis, Operations Executive, BIA by email via the button below.
