Overview
Full-time, permanent, Finance Business Partner, £47,000 - £54,000, Bristol Your new company A governmental organisation is seeking a permanent, full-time Finance Business Partner to deliver support and insight, as well as challenge the leadership team of the directorates and regions. You will also be responsible for the management of the Assistant Finance Business Partners. This role is essential in the development of financial strategy, maintaining strong financial governance and control, and performance management. Your new role As the successful candidate you will support, challenge and advise on all financial matters to the leadership team, regarding all key strategic and commercial decision making and planning, as well as budgeting and forecasting. You will communicate all financial results as well as budgets and forecasts accurately and ensure that all issues within business performance are identified, and that solutions are provided. You will be responsible for data integrity of financial information, including journals and reconciliations. You will check and challenge submissions from the business, to make sure that all financial data is disseminated accurately and in a timely manner. You will facilitate the adoption of new business and lead the annual business planning process and longer-term financial planning. You will partner with regional leadership to present the budget to directorate leadership. You will manage a team of between 1 and 3 Assistant Finance Business Partners, developing their capabilities and confidence. What you'll need to succeed You will be a Chartered Qualified Accountant, preferably with previous governance and commercial experience. You will have project management knowledge, equivalent of a Projects in Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) practitioner. You will have working experience of managing a business planning process at a regional level. You will have previous experience of managing a small team, supporting the development of other team members to ensure resilience and fill in any knowledge gaps. You must have the ability to align forecasting to an operational model, business outcomes and strategic focus, understanding of which costs are most material and volatile. You must have relationship and stakeholder management skills, and the ability to understand and present complex information.
