Paraplanner Full time employed role Salary is £35,000 - £40,000 South-East London We are looking for a Paraplanner to join a growing practice in Orpington (South-East London) with a proven track record and in-depth technical experience. This person will be working with two financial advisers, producing excellent thorough research, reports and review preparation to enable the timely delivery of first-class financial advice to the client base of around 200 active clients. This role will suit an individual who is looking to be an integral part of the development of the business as it enters its next stage of growth. Supported by three administrators, you will be required to provide technical support on a daily basis and utilise your thorough understanding of the advice process and regulatory requirements to deliver an outstanding experience for the clients. Role & Responsibilities: • To conduct first-class, thorough research across the whole market, predominantly pensions and investments, to prepare product and financial planning recommendations for finalisation by Advisers. • Preparation includes all product, fund and other technical research as necessary, suitability report writing, fact find production and the completion of the associated paperwork to implement advice. • To prepare all documents required for Reviews and highlight to Advisers any specific financial planning needs or matters that require attention. • To use best endeavours to continually improve upon qualifications and skills by following a programme of personal development as agreed with the firm. • To maintain a thorough and up to date knowledge of the FCA Regulatory framework and ensure all work adheres to these regulations. Candidate requirements: The successful candidate will be technical, ethical, proactive and diligent in their approach to paraplanning, as well as possessing the following: • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paraplanner within an IFA firm. • Experience in using IFA back-office systems (Preferably Intelligent Office). • Excellent knowledge of investments, pensions, trusts, taxation and protection. • Strong investment and fund knowledge. • Experience of using fund analysis tools such as Financial Express. If you hold or are working towards your Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning or any other relevant qualifications, this will be highly beneficial, however we are keen to speak with Paraplanners who may not have any qualifications, but who have a wealth of experience and who are technically competent.
