Data Insight Analyst at DMGT (View all jobs) Kensington London The Data Insight team works closely with the wider Marketing function (loyalty, partnerships, subscriptions, e-commerce, customer services, marketing & comms and trade marketing) to help deliver the Customer Vision: to understand as much as we can about our customers and their behaviour, driving them to spend more time with, and more money with, the Mail brand. The Data Insight team is responsible for developing the strategic use of the customer database via delivery of reporting and insights. It helps deliver the customer vision by using data and appropriate statistical methodologies to: Understand Mail customers, their engagement and behaviours Identify key customers, why they are valuable, and support the customer acquisition and retention strategy Deliver analysis and insight which can help drive new/existing revenue streams Support decision making around customer communications, product development and advertising pitches Provide evidence and insight to support Customer Strategy in refining the strategy, approach and objectives for the B2C business going forward Help answer the wider strategic questions faced by the senior management team of Mail Newspapers JOB PURPOSE The Data Insight Analyst sets the agenda of customer data insights that supports the Mail Plus product in maximising the opportunities and being a data driven and customer centric business. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with the business (up to Head of/Chief Marketing Officer) to identify opportunities to improve revenue generation, customer loyalty and campaign effectiveness, delivering actionable recommendations to address these Focus on increasing the value, quality and volume of the Mail Newspapers customerIncrease base through the use of data insights.Deliver in-depth analytical solutions, models, interpretation and segmentation that will impact on strategic and operational direction and improve campaign response rates Provide deep dive analytics around e.g. response profiling, uplift analysis, offer take up, response timing, channel preference and testing to support decisions on campaign strategy Build and develop relationships with teams and individuals across the business to both facilitate information gathering and provide analytical support when required Support Mail Plus in their use of customer data to drive engagement through better understanding of their audience Work with and mentor other members of the Data Insight team in delivery of robust, timely, accurate data insight projects KEY SKILLS/PERSON SPECIFICATION Degree qualification in a statistical subject such as Maths or Psychology. 3 years’ experience in delivering customer data analysis (Loyalty) High understanding working with platforms with customer data Ie. Advanced knowledge and experience of SQL (essential) required. Knowledge and experience of FastStats (desired), R or SAS preferred Experience at building and implementing propensity models and customer segmentations - Essential Ability to translate business and commercial issues into an analytical brief Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skilled in producing written reports and presenting results of analysis ( surface the insights from the data and turn this into actions and strategic changes to the relevant stakeholders) Someone who is motivated and enthusiastic about getting into the data to identify opportunities that others have missed Team player Commitment to achieving results Ability to work independently when required, and take initiative and lead when required Ability to multi-task and be flexible in a fast-paced and changing environment Passion for the consumer essential This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89638370
