Job Description Job Type: Multi-skilled Maintenance Person Shifts: 9:00am - 5:00pm Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £9.00 per hour Location: Delves Court, 2 Walstead Road, Walsall, West Midlands, WS5 4NZ The chosen candidate must be willing to attend the home out of hours or at weekends in case of emergencies or to meet the needs of the home. Select Healthcare offer services such as; a Brain Injury Unit, Mental Health Care, Respite Care, Residential Care and much more. About Delves Court Delves Court is situated on the outskirts of Walsall Town and provides nursing and residential care. About the role Responsibilities/General duties: Decorating bedrooms/shared areas/corridors such as painting/wallpapering etc General maintenance person duties Basic plumbing work Health and Safety checks throughout the home Maintaining gardens and general upkeep of the building Liaise with outside companies and head office regarding health and safety/maintenance issues Daily update via maintenance log to Home Manager on jobs done Skills and experience Experience/qualifications etc: Prior experience working in a similar role in a care/nursing home would be ideal Relevant Health and Safety qualifications would be desirable Good Health and Safety awareness Basic plumbing skills required (additional salary if candidate can do plumbing jobs) Must be able to drive Must be willing to work outside of working hours to suit the needs of the home and in emergency situations Benefits What we can offer you: Continuous training Realistic development Free onsite car park Company pension scheme All roles will be subject to a successful fully enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
