Maintenance Engineer. £35,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience. West Midlands (M54 / M6 area). As a formidable group of companies with a heritage of over a century, my client offers a complete castings and machining service to multiple markets; including automotive, mining and power generation. Their 'cradle to grave process' is managed within a number of West Midlands' based facilities that house some of the most state-of-the-art CNC machinery. Due to strategic growth, a role has now arisen for a Maintenance Engineer to join their talented workforce and be responsible for maximising machine uptime. Working within a fast-moving industrial environment and reporting to the Operations Director, your role will involve the following: Respond to breakdowns, diagnose root cause, identifying replacement parts, resolving faults and/or requesting external support as required. Ensuring the company's preventative maintenance routines are completed to correct standards and on-time. Support machine operators to resolve machine faults quickly and effectively. Carry out routine equipment maintenance work and TPM schedules. Generate breakdown / callout reports. Manage spare part and tool store requirements. Participate in rotational breakdown call-out cover. My client is looking for applications from people who are HND / HNC qualified, who are either electrically or mechanically biased and possess the following experience: Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC machine tool Service Engineer. OEM CNC machine tool / fitter background preferable but not essential. Experience of CNCs and software fault-finding. Experience with fanuc robots. Experience with Siemens 840 Sinumeric controls. Experience with Chiron, Sheher, SW, EMAG, or okuma machines is an advantage. Experience of route cause analysis and problem solving. Excellent communication skills. With regards to remuneration, my client is offering a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000. This is a full-time permanent role with a rotational shift pattern of 6.00am - 14.00pm and 14.00pm - 22.00pm.
