Overview

Global, Award winning Advertising Agency are looking for a tenacious and driven, Group Financial Controller to provide financial and accounting leadership to the Europe region. Group Financial Controller - the role: Ensure factually accurate and timely reporting of all financial matters to the Agency and ultimately the Group in accordance with GAAP and IFRS requirements. To resource, lead, develop & effectively manage the Regional Controlling team and develop the overall controlling capabilities across the Europe region To effectively manage working capital across the mulitiple agencies in 10 countries of the entire Europe region ensuring the timely conversion of business earnings to cash To take accountability for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across the Europe region To serve as an operational Board member for certain companies across Europe, when required To ensure budgets for the regional Head Office unit are accurate and timely and plan for special Europe investment projects. Also ensure recharges of central costs to region are in accordance with transfer pricing regulations To participate, lead or manage any ad-hoc project assigned by the Group CFO or Executive Leadership To perform reviews and assess opportunities to implement process and reporting improvements across region To manage, coordinate and conduct acquisition related activities including due diligence, post-acquisition activities and earn-out reviews Group Financial Controller - The person: Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, ACCA with rigorous understanding of IFRS, GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations Understanding of national legislations and accounting requirements Audit and SOX experience Marketing services sector experience desirable International experience and working in a multi-cultural and multi-jurisdiction environment Significant people management and team leadership experience Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation
