EPC has a PERMANENT position for a Mechanical Design Engineer detailed below: Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Duration: Permanent Location: Aberdeen Rate: £40-45k per annum, Negotiable Start: Immediate Start Job Description: Our client is a leading engineering company based in Aberdeen who specialise in the design and manufacture of complex components for the Oil & Gas industry. Due to increase needs, our client is currently looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer Key responsibilities/Duties · Develop product line designs through to finished product as required to meet Sales Order requirements and Customer Specification. · Provide engineering support to the organisation · Develop product line designs through to finished product as required to meet customer Specification. · Make engineering cost estimates for development of existing products in order to create realistic project cost targets. · Responsible for the preparation of engineering design and reviews · Assist in the evaluation of product viability · Successfully manage projects within projected budgetary and delivery targets to maximise profitability from the company's products. · Provide technical support to the organisation as a whole in order to maximise the level of service · Provide manual assistance in the process of assembly & testing of new products · Ensure the relevant engineering processes and procedures are adhered to. · Apply excellent customer service skills to ensure effective and productive client relationships are built and maintained. · Liaise with clients and vendors locally and internationally in the specification of product developments in order to maximise business opportunities · Adhere to company QHSE policies and procedures Candidate knowledge · 2-5 years relevant engineering experience in wellhead/xmas tree/surface equipment or process equipment design · Good working knowledge of CAD system Solid works. · Offshore experience preferred · Self-motivated and able to work under pressure · Experience with rapid turnaround on projects · Good team player with sound interpersonal skills · High level of mathematical capability to perform stress and load calculations. · Ability to provide engineering solutions to client problems. · Good written and verbal communication skills. · Ability to prioritise conflicting workloads and work to deadlines This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89805810
