DevOps Engineer Level: Junior - Mid Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Type: Permanent Benefits: Modern Office/ Flexible Working/ Social Activities/ Training/ Progression This company are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join their award winning team. This company specialise in cloud based digital solutions that enhance every stage of their customer's experience. You will be working at the forefront of new technologies with world class digital partners and delivering projects for well-known brands. You will be based at award winning state of the art studios in the heart of Newcastle. As a DevOps Engineer you will have extensive knowledge on how to build scalable services on cloud architectures ensuring speed and reliability across multiple platforms. You will be an integral tool in the seamless sharing of data between clients. Day to day you will be: Managing virtualised cloud infrastructure and platform Be working in web and cloud development Building innovative features and working with the very latest technologies. Working collaboratively within a small team to overcome challenges and maximise business potential. Key skills will include understanding of the following: Server OS (Linux, Windows Server 2012) Web security (WAF/Layer7, SSL) Server Coding (PHP, NodeJS, CherryPy) Cloud Services ( AWS, Azure) SQL, NoSQL ( MongoDB, DynamoDB) Client coding (HTML5, Java script, CSS). Previous experience must include: Commercial experience working in a DevOps role Commercial experience working with AWS or Azure Knowledge of virtualisation, preferably GPU virtualisation.
