Role:Head of Pricing - Legal Sector Location: London Salary: Very Competitive 6 figure basic plus excellent benefits. About the Job As a key strategic role, this position provides commercial direction and practical advice in terms of Pricing to our Head of Client Strategy and the Group & Sector Heads, driving improvement to the firm's overall profitability. Some of your responsibilities: Leading the Pricing team, ensuring the department continue as trusted advisors within the business, including training key stakeholders Developing and executing a Pricing roadmap to support the firm's strategy Working closely with the Head of Client Strategy, Sector/ Groups Heads and Relationship Partners to optimise gross margin and meet their objectives, with particular focus on the firm's major client relationships Managing the firm's annual rate review process; Working with the Financial Analyst and Finance Systems teams on reporting, specifically conducting 'deep dive' commercial analysis for the Sector teams in order to optimise client performance; Working closely with the Bids and BD teams to ensure proposals include appropriate financial analysis and a commercialand value based approach; Providing direct input on major bids, tenders and client rate reviews with support from the Pricing and Business Manager teams, including taking a client facing role as needed; Developing pricing proposals for newly innovated products and services; Providing advice and support on the firm's pricing policy and governance; and Developing and managing our pricing and project management tools. Skills and Experience Required Degree level. Qualified accountant or MBA/equivalent Substantial experience of pricing in the UK legal sector - desirable Minimum 5 years in a management or operational role in a leading company/firm with profit centre accountability Consultancy/business strategy/professional services experience an asset Proven experience of working with varied and cross-functional teams, to include IT, HR, BD and Finance Pricing or Commercial related qualification preferable Gravitas to succeed in the partnership environment and to gain respect as a trusted advisor Persuasive presenter, facilitator and negotiator with the ability to engage and gain support throughout the organisation This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89804106
