Platform Manager - VMware vCenter, vSphere, vMSC, vROPS and NSX
Overview
The position owns the development and implementation of the Core Platform, datacentre hosting and global networks, for the Group. The Group's Platform stack is based on best in class tech inc. VMware vCenter, vSphere, vMSC, vROPS, NSX, Cisco networking, SilverPeak SD-WAN. Responsibilities • Deliver a stable, performant, cost effective datacentre hosting env. • Define the vision, strategy and roadmap for the datacentre virtualization, storage / networking env. • Manage 4 x VMware / Datacentre / Networking SMEs. • Own Incident, Problem, Capacity management within the Core Platform domain. • Own Backup / datacentre Disaster Recovery capabilities. Requirements • Highly customer service focused, excellent communication, relationship building and negotiation skills. • Experience of delivering server virtualization / networking services to a globally distributed group business. • Strong technical knowledge - VMware vCenter, vSphere, vMSC, vROPS, NSX. • Solid understanding of enterprise storage, compute, networking technology. • Relevant industry certifications.
