The opportunity… This global financial services company are expanding their DevOps team and are currently looking for a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join them. They are a market leader in what they do and have a presence in 17 locations worldwide. This role is based in their Leeds office which is centrally located and very close to public transport links. The DevOps / Platform team is crucial to the success of the business as it ensures that software delivery is running smoothly and effectively and that deployments are resilient. Continuous improvement is of huge importance to the business and this role will be constantly looking to understand how processes can be made better and more efficient. This is an Azure environment and the main tech involved includes both Windows and Linux servers, MS SQL and PowerShell. Your responsibilities will include… As a DevOps / Platform Engineer you will be responsible for: Supporting across the full SDLC from Dev and Test through to Prod and ensuring that the best possible service is available for the business Driving an automated approach to delivery and employing relevant tools to reduce cycle times and improve reliability Designing and implementing both cloud-based and virtualised architecture Setting up and configuring software version release management, cloud provisioning and monitoring Working with the team to identify and improve any weak points in process and tech What you'll bring to the role… A solid understanding of DevOps ideally from enterprise environments Experience supporting Windows, Linux and Azure environments Skills in tooling, package management and deployment strategies that support continuous and iterative development Previous experience with tools such as Azure Automation, Octopus Deploy, Git is desirable What the role will offer you… The opportunity to be part of a strong brand that has seen global success Stability in a permanent position A diverse and inclusive team that values different points of view Commitment to your personal and professional development with progression opportunities and training Does this sound like the opportunity for you?
