Overview

Junior Software Developer - Leeds Connected Services is a division of the company containing a range of businesses that complement our legal offering, as well as delivering stand-alone services and products directly to clients. The system is the software development and IT consultancy arm of the brand dedicated to improving clients' efficiency, productivity, compliance and risk management. We are now seeking to recruit a Junior Software Developer to join the team based in Leeds. What you will be doing: You will develop and deliver project and software/application support services to the 360 client base to the company defined standards. Providing expertise in developing the technologies used within the development team to enhance and bolster 360 products and services. You will have the opportunity to participate in the strategy and product roadmap initiatives, providing technical knowledge to these forums with an Input into the advancement of the 360 technical platform by performing R&D to keep the business at the forefront of technology. This is a great opportunity to be involved with client facing projects from day one. What we are looking for: We are keen to speak with recent graduates particularly those who have studied IT/Computer Science and candidates with one to two years commercial experience working on web applications would be advantageous. Commercial experience in the insurance sector is desirable although not mandatory. You must be able to demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills both internally and client facing. Ability to work with a diverse range of team members and be able to demonstrate excellent soft skills at influencing / collaboration with others to get the job done and be able to communicate confidently and effectively (internally and externally) Team working - Works with others, sharing information encouraging participation, providing support and demonstrating respect. Works collaboratively with others in team and cross-functional teams to achieve business goals Analytical and problem solving skills. Manage customers effectively by managing relationships, identify/ report appropriately problems and outline available options Understand the importance of delivering on time/ cost/ quality. Confidently support the team so that they complete objectives and hit deadlines Approach - Organised and methodical approach with the ability to work to set targets and objectives.
