We are an award winning Gastro Pub in the Tadcaster/Selby area recruiting a Junior Sous to work alongside a Head & Sous chef from 2 Rosette backgrounds. We are a creative, relaxed and supportive kitchen. The pub has a regular, ever growing customer base with a well earned reputation for Great British fresh food. Situated in the thriving village of South Milford this is an independently run country pub recently awarded a commendation for Best Gastro Pub in Leeds at the Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards 2020 and winner of the Observer Food Monthly Best Sunday lunch in 2018. After nearly seven years of consistent growth we are looking for someone who has a passion for hospitality. Our kitchen is dedicated to seasonality and Yorkshire produce. Our menus change monthly, we offer daily blackboard specials, and dishes are based on what's best from our producers at that time. We hold frequent and varied tasting menu events which allow to really push our creative boundaries. The Junior Sous will be: competent on all sections keen to learn keen to train others and develop the team's capacity able to assist with dish development and menu changes responsible for contributing new dish ideas organised a clean worker able to help us maintain our 5 star EHO rating able to work under pressure while remaining calm and focused able assist the senior chefs with stock management and ordering 45 hours/week 5 days over 7.
