Overview

A leading technology organisation are looking to recruit a Legal Counsel for a 3-month contract based in London. You will have at least 4 years PQE as a Commercial Lawyer with solid IP and data privacy experience. You will be providing first line support to internal teams and will have regular exposure to senior stakeholders within the business. You will work closely with the wider legal team and will be involved in interesting and varied work. Key duties: Drafting, reviewing and negotiating client commercial contracts globally Extensive negotiations regarding IP and data protection issues. Advising on master service agreements and general terms and conditions Advising on significant supplier contracts Providing guidance to colleagues on legal risks and contracts Supporting and championing all aspects of legal practice within the group globally Supporting the roll-out of new template contracts and new contract approval process Extensive autonomy and responsibility and the candidate will be expected to draft and negotiate contracts independently, while referring up to senior management on certain matters Drafting and reviewing data processing agreements and data sharing agreements and liaising with the Group Data Protection Officer on general data protection matters Working with the Governance Team on compliance matters including risk management and company policies and procedures The team offers excellent quality work and a genuine involvement in the business. The role will suit a dynamic and proactive lawyer, looking to work as part of a collegiate team. You will have trained and qualified at a top City Law firm or a highly regarded in house organisation and will have gained a minimum of 4 years' PQE advising on Commercial Contracts.
