THE FIRM A long established central London firm. THE ROLE A healthcare lawyer 3pqe is sought for a team which acts for a broad range of clients in the healthcare and social care sectors. They represent many private psychiatric providers as well as one of the largest NHS Mental Health Trusts in the UK. You will handle a caseload that involves advising clients on a wide range of legal issues including: Inquests, advice on the Mental Health Act, cases before the Court of Protection relating to welfare and treatment, advice on the Mental Capacity Act, including DOLS and advice on the forthcoming Liberty Protection Safeguards, consent and confidentiality, GDPR, CQC registration and enforcement matters, clinical negligence claims, health and safety and other prosecutions in the sector ABOUT YOU A healthcare lawyer with experience of undertaking advocacy at inquests, you will also be expected to contribute to the marketing of the team, including preparing briefings on topical mental health and healthcare issues and providing training sessions to healthcare staff.
