Overview
My client in Central London is looking for a locum Strategic Safeguarding Adults Lead to join their department immediately. I am looking for candidates with a proven track record, operating in a similar strategic position, who are able to work competently and autonomously. The desired applicant must be a Qualified Social Worker with extensive experience in Strategic Adults Safeguarding, including: The Safeguarding Board, project design and implementation, analysis and development of Safeguarding Policies and Practice. Responsibilities of the Social Worker: To support the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board and to provide regular reports of work done to progress the Board's strategic priorities and annual work plan. To gather and analyse activity data, (including feedback from people who have experienced abuse/safeguarding) that gives assurance to stakeholders that people are being empowered to mitigate and manage risk and increase their personal safety. To represent and provide expertise as the adult services representative on community safety forums and other bodies (MARAC; 'Hoarders' Group; Local Children's Safeguarding Board; Violence against Women Groups to include Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking, etc) as required. To maintain links with external Safeguarding Adults Networks to ensure that adult Safeguarding develops in line with case law, research and national developments. To maintain systems that ensure the consistent and complete application of the Care Act 2014 Statutory guidance - and the Multi-Agency Safeguarding London Guidelines policy and procedures across adult services, measuring effectiveness of interventions in terms of outcomes, and using learning from casework to develop practice. You must have: Social Work England Registration. A clear, enhanced DBS Background check. At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in an Adults role. At least 2 years of experience at a similar level in a relevant role.
