Site Reliability Engineer / Automation Engineer (DevOps CI/CD Infrastructure). Award-winning scale up is seeking a detail-oriented Site Reliability Engineer to make an impact through powering improvements to their innovative core product. As the sole Site Reliability Engineer, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape and direct processes company wide, showcasing your expertise across improving the security, reliability and performance of their innovative platform. As a Site Reliability Engineer you'll partner with an upbeat, dynamic engineering team and will take ownership of identifying opportunities for improving how the teams deliver software into production, as well as innovating release tools or how infrastructure is managed. You'll also take the lead on proactively identifying opportunities for improvement across the public facing product, as well as security concerns and troubleshooting when appropriate. In this Site Reliability Engineer role you'll use an up-to-the-minute, diverse tech stack; a Symfony 2 application deployed to AWS, managed by Terraform and SaltStack with multiple releases per week which you'll help to make more frequent. Recently, the company has moved towards Docker, Kubernetes and EKS - so there are plenty of opportunities to develop and refine your technical skills. Requirements: You have a strong software development background and know how to drive improvements with high quality code and testing You've designed robust, production strength applications with high traffic architectures You have an appreciation for complicated SaaS platforms with high availability You have experience with AWS / other Cloud platform You have good working knowledge of Automation tools; Terraform, SaltStack, Jenkins, Git (and logging tools like the ELK) You're a passionate technologist, keen to develop your skills and keep pace with emerging technologies You're a positive team player who enjoys working collaboratively As a Site Reliability Engineer you will earn a highly competitive salary (to £90k) plus stock options and benefits, including individual training budget, mentoring programme, generous holiday allowance, enhanced parental leave and more.
