Overview

Project Manager (SaaS) Asset Management Industry Key Responsibilities Break down projects into milestones, deliverables and activities Work with Delivery Managers to slot resources to activities Prepare weekly client-facing status reports Prepare weekly internal status reports Manage proprietary project management tools Manage project finances (spend vs. budget, estimated time to completion, etc.) Work closely with internal teams and stakeholders to practice good project governance, promote client happiness and look for upsell opportunities Be accountable for delivery Leverage subject matter experts relentlessly to determine the optimal delivery approach Ensure good project go-live, including coordinating with Technical Operations and Production Support Report weekly project KPIs to divisional leadership Participate in weekly internal project management and resourcing meetings Communicate well with clients about project progress Manage our design team and client management of the UX and UI Essential Requirements Strong academics and a degree from a leading university required, advanced degrees and industry charters such as IT, Chartered Accounting a plus Experience of working as a project manager in a leading consulting firm’s asset management practise advantageous 3-5 years’ experience in project management, with exposure to agile project management methodologies required Understands the asset management industry and has worked with both asset management operational and technology teams Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the presence and ability to engage clients effectively to shape positive outcomes Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workload (personal management) Passion to learn emerging technologies and embrace continuous professional development is a must Strong problem-solving skills Self-motivated and willing to "do what it takes" to get the job done, while remaining organised during the process Strong analytical skills Strong organisational skills Strong sense of ownership Expert with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint PMP and/or knowledge and implementation of a project management methodology strongly preferred Preffered Experience Required: Experience running technical delivery projects Experience working in a consultancy firm or asset manager Experience working with web orientated and/or SaaS projects Understanding of the full project lifecycle including managing data and code deployments into a live environment Understanding of IT support models and and post-deployment Has driven the use of Microsoft DevOps or Jira and can speak naturally to the process and technical implementation thereof Has experience of setting up testing, understands the testing objectives and process Understands what operational risk management is about and how to design auditable, risk managed business processes
