Mechanical Design Engineer £28,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience) Sheffield About the Company My client is a specialist supplier of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and systems, they are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. The company is renowned for innovative solutions; designing, manufacturing, installing and maintaining systems for clients worldwide. The Mechanical Design Engineer must be profficient with Solidworks and AutoCAD. Duties of the Mechanical Design Engineer Develop design work utilising computer-assisted design, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and other software as required Design systems and equipment in line with UK and international standards and project specifications Optimise design with a view to reduce procurement costs, production time an documentation costs Produce 2D & 3D drawings to optimise the manufacturing process and minimise costs Create and maintain Bills Of Materials (BOM) Check certification of components / materials are in line with project specification Manage day to day operational aspects of the projects Achieve a reliable and acceptable standard of planning, project and production documentation at the first attempt Prioritize workload in order to meet project / business needs Requirements of the Mechanical Design Engineer Degree qualified in a relevant discipline including mechanical/electrical/product design or be able to demonstrate work at an appropriate level 2 years’ experience in an Engineering role Previous experience within an engineering or manufacturing company preferred Proficient with AutoCAD and Solidworks Project Management experience Sheetmetal, Fabrication experience Oil and Gas Industry experience HVAC and Air Conditioning experience would be advantageous If you are interested in this role, please get in touch with Adele Lewis at Premier Engineering.
