Full time Fixed-term Contract: 1 Year Grade DL, Salary £39,576 per annum Location 6 Alie Street, London, E1 8QT Close date: 5pm on Wednesday 15th April 2020 Interview date: Wednesday 29th April 2020 The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is becoming established as the UK multi-disciplinary professional membership body for clinical informaticians who use their unique knowledge and experience of both person-centred care and informatics concepts, methods and tools, to promote care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, person-centred, and equitable. The Faculty is recruiting a project manager to join a small dynamic team, including a business manager, responsible for the organisational development of the Faculty and a membership and communications officer, responsible for leading the development of the membership support and communication functions for the Faculty. This is a new post and the successful candidate will be responsible for building a project management capability in the Faculty, securing and running consultancy projects and internal initiatives, working with clinical informatician members and fellows. We are seeking a project manager with experience in developing project proposals and briefs, putting together multi-disciplinary project teams and taking responsibility for successful delivery of projects. A project management qualification, such as PRINCE2 is desirable. Experience of working in health or social care is required and experience in digital health/clinical informatics projects would be an asset, although development support will be provided. As this is a new post, it is being advertised on a fixed term basis, however the intention is that the post will be extended, subject to the successful development of the project management function. The Faculty of Clinical Informatics is the multi-disciplinary professional body for all health and social care qualified individuals working as informaticians across the UK. The Faculty is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation which aims to advance the health of the public, particularly through the following: the development and monitoring of professional standards in clinical informatics; the provision of education and training to clinicians; the provision of guidance on the commissioning, design, development and delivery of health and care information systems; the promotion of the inclusion of clinical informatics in core clinical training to help promote safe, effective and professional standards.
