Overview
We are looking to recruit a Commis Chef to join our kitchen team at the globe. Working 35-40 hours per week (including weekend work and split shifts) your role will be based mainly on the starter and dessert section preparing and cooking dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients to a consistent high standard. You will also assist the other chefs in the kitchen with food preparation and plating of mains dishes on the hotplate during busy periods. We pride ourselves on an extensive specials board and using ingredients from local suppliers and you will have the opportunity to use your creative flair and skills to produce dishes for this on a daily basis, as well as assist with menu development. You will be required to adhere to food safety guidelines, company health and safety procedures, produce dishes for customers with special dietary requirements and allergies and assist with cleaning of the kitchen. Passion for food, an eye for detail and reliability is a must, and previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
