Overview
This is a highly regarded International business association comprising of a Network of nearly 300 independent Accounting and Management Consultancy firms based in over 100 countries across the world. All member firms are managerially and financially independent. Between them they employ over 8000 staff. The Networks administrative headquarters are located in London. This role is for 3 days per week and can be based at the HQ or any where else suitable. The organisation’s Membership Quality Working Group (MQWG) oversees the implementation of quality management across the orgnisation and acts in an advisory capacity to the Board. The MQWG members are all Board appointed and the working group is chaired by a Board member. The Membership Quality Manager will support and interact directly with the Board, the MQWG and CEO to further develop,manage and drive the quality agenda across the network and enhance theculture ofcontinuous improvement. The position will represent the network on all technical servicei ssues and is critical to ensuring the networks has quality firms offering a quality service. The role will demand high levels of analytical understanding and the ability to recommend firms for closer review and inspection inline with the organisation’s Membership Quality and Expectations Policy. A degree of sensitivity will also be required when making such recommendations. Specific duties include: Recommend appropriate technical material to support the service provision delivery across all firms. This will include, but not exclusive to, providing guidance and support to implement IFAC and ISQM1/2standards. Review of existing network quality policies and suggest enhancements/changes where appropriate In coordination with the MQWG, organise and oversee the implementation of an annual programme of member firm reviews providing a proactive assessment of quality service provision of member firms through a combination of on-site and desktop reviews. As a guide (and subject to revision), the frequency of such reviews willbe: On-site: 3 per region (Americas, Asia-Pacific, EMEA) peryear Desktop:2perregion(Americas,Asia-Pacific)and4(EMEA)perquarter(8perquarter)- total 32 firms peryear In coordination with the MQWG, analyse the results of the reviews and agree resulting action plans with each member firm and follow up on implementation of actionplans Keep the network updated on new developments on official regulations and adapting internal procedures to comply with internationalrequirements. In conjunction the CEO, disseminate policies, procedures and instructions to member firmswithregardstothequalityprogrammes,reportingandinternalinspectionprocesses Develop and deliver relevant training to member firms as appropriate to up skill knowledge and ensure membershipcompliance Prepare periodic and annual reports on results of on-site and other reviews to support the CEO when reporting to the Board and other relevant governance groups (i.e. Forum ofFirms) Recommend actions as a result of member firm non-compliance to the WG for onward recommendation to the Board. To support the MQWG to ensure the timely and efficient implementation of all quality management programmes and theirreporting It is envisaged that the job function will become the technical position able to review suggested audit manual development or requirements inline with member firm jurisdictions. The post holder should be able to demonstrate: A clear understanding of quality control oversight in a firm or similar network certified or chartered public accountant knowledge and experience of international auditing and accountingstandards Excellent project management skills supported by a sound analyticalability Excellent presentation and writing skills to present to the Board and membershipfirms Confidence to manage multiple tasks with an awareness of culturalsensitivities Development and delivery of training programmes through face-to-face and one-to- manywebinars Current knowledge of relevant ISO standards and the ability to interpret these in the context of qualitymanagement Fluent in English, other languages would be an advantage.
