Overview
Connaught Resourcing is looking for experienced Support workers to work with and assist adults with learning disabilities based near Solihull. You will be working within a semi supportive living environment and will be offered either 20 hours or 40 hours a week. The role will run from Monday to Friday with the occasional weekends. The trust has been supporting people for over 25 years, provided professional care and support services throughout Solihull and the West Midlands, supporting people with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and physical disabilities to live their lives with dignity, choice and independence. As well as working with Semi supportive living, the trust encourages outdoor activities for the service users including: Work-based learning to teach skills necessary to gain employment Work placement opportunities for adults and young people with learning disabilities, brain injuries and mental health problems Day opportunities for people in and around the Solihull and Midlands area Well-qualified, caring and compassionate staff Working café open to the general public Woodworking unit, teaching carpentry and joinery skills Therapeutic horticultural unit/business Gardening social enterprise Equine and animal care College courses in ICT, numeracy and literacy Two rooms available for hire for private parties, meetings, conferences and gatherings We are looking for candidates who can show empathy, positivity and the ability to work within a supportive team.
