Overview
Is outsourcing accounts your thing? If so, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking an Outsourcing Accountant (or two) on behalf of a Top 100 accountancy practice at its Oxford office to join the rapidly expanding outsourcing department. The firm is open to applications from people with different levels of experience and will consider candidates for Junior to Senior Accountant positions. As Outsourcing Accountant, you will have the following duties and responsibilities: Preparation of management accounts and completion of VAT returns Preparing opening balance journals Processing sales and purchase invoices and reconciling the bank account Developing and applying your technical knowledge through on the job training and formal qualifications Supporting managers and directors as part of a focused client service team, which will include responding to client queries in a professional and timely manner Building productive working relationships within the firm and with clients Using a variety of accounting software packages including CCH, Sage and Xero Training and mentoring junior members of the team (if more senior) If applying for the Junior Outsourcing Accountant role, your will not be expected to be confident, or competent enough, to carry out the above duties without supervision, this will be something to which, you will aspire. To be considered for either of these roles, applicants will have the following skills and experience: AAT qualified or part qualified, or ACCA part qualified and educated to A Level or higher e.g. degree Have at least two years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice (less considered for a Junior role) Strong communication skills, verbal and written Exceptional attention to detail Strong IT skills, specifically Xero and able to pick up new software packages quickly; QuickBooks Online, Sage and CCH experience would be an advantage A positive, confident and proactive attitude Ability to prioritise and meet tight timeframes with high quality output Enjoy working as part of a team and self-motivated This forward-thinking firm will offer the Outsourcing Accountant (Junior, Semi-Senior or Senior) a competitive salary and great benefits package, full study support, a comprehensive induction and a supportive working environment.
