Overview
Syndicate Underwriting Analyst Salary to £32,000 benefits package City of London An opportunity to join an established and respected Lloyd's syndicate insurance & reinsurance carrier based in the City of London. They underwrite a mixed portfolio of specialist energy, marine, property and casualty classes together with providing delegated underwriting authority to Lloyds coverholders. This is a new role within the Professional Indemnity division. The role will be diverse and duties will evolve and expand overtime. In essence you will create, maintain and develop syndicate records and monitoring tools for the North American PI underwriting team. Examples of tasks: -Coordinating with the underwriting team to ensure the integrity and availability of data -Creating and monitoring bordereaux monitoring tools and database management -Managing DUA data streams -Working with internal stakeholders to prepare insightful reports and dashboards -Interpret and analyse data to identify key metrics -Involvement in the development of pricing and monitoring tools -Assist in the collation of data for reinsurance protection programs -Liaison with brokers to verify and collect required data Candidate profile: -Will suit an applicant seeking an analytical role, rather than a direct route into underwriting. -Educated to degree level. -At least 12 months of experience within an insurance or reinsurance business. -Ideally, some exposure to the Lloyds/London marketplace -Knowledge of using BI reporting tools such as Tableau or PowerBI -Strong IT skills, including programming with VBA or C# or SQL -Advanced MS excel skills - macros, vlookups, pivot tables.
