Overview
A City based Lloyd's Underwriters seeks a Underwriting Operations Technician to support with Underwriting governance through review of UW authorities and the UW process, operational reporting, including monitoring and follow-up on internal and service provider KPIs. The company seeks a person with Lloyd's Market background, knowledge and basic understanding of Lloyd's Minimum Underwriting Standards , with a willingness to study towards the CII Insurance Qualifications;. Must be a team 'player' and work for the good of the team as well as individually;This role will suit a team player, also a person looking to develop within the team and the business. Main Responsibilities: Underwriting / Claims Exceptions & Breaches and Data Quality Exceptions - Day to day responsibility for the review of underwriting / claims exceptions & breaches and data quality exceptions; Liaise with assigned businesses on identified issues, produce reports for inclusion in committee packs and dashboards. Management Information and Reporting. Create and maintain the operations dashboard; Assist the Operational Manager in administration work of reporting for board/committee meetings; Assist, where necessary, with the collation of relevant reports for the General Underwriting Committee and other Committee meetings as may be required. R egulatory Reporting. Assist in the administration of Independent Reviews including development of a monitoring process for the scheduling, follow up & completion of reports. Assist in creation and submission of various regular regulatory reports such as ELTO and PMD.
