Background: As part of the Global Operations transformation, we are implementing a Digital Control Tower to lead the data-driven execution of our strategy. The role form part of the Global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) function, reporting to the Global S&OP Director Purpose of the role: As the Business Analyst you will play a key role in driving our data-driven decision-making strategy. You will consult with the central and regional operations teams, alongside the wider business, to gather business requirements, source and validate data, analyse data, build models, synthesise insights, design dashboards, implement scalable technological solutions, and coach the business to adopt and embed into standard ways of working. Key accountabilities: Consult with the central and regional Supply Chain teams to identify and interlock business requirements Lead the design and implementation of our visual dashboards - incorporating KPIs and metrics that are fully aligned with industry standard benchmarks and best practice Leverage the dashboards to interpret data and provide deep analytical insight - enabling effective action-oriented decision making Communicate monthly insight and KPIs to the Global Operations leadership team Partner with the regional operations teams to align processes, embed standard ways of working, and identify corrective action plans where required Partner with Pearson Technology to continuously improve existing Tableau dashboards and prototype new capabilities and solutions with the business Interpret business requirements and create workflows using Alteryx and visualise output in Tableau Manage reporting plans and coordinate dependencies and interfaces with other Operational functions Pearson is an equal opportunities employer. Qualifications Skills and experience Previous experience in a business information analyst role working with data from ERP systems (e.g. Oracle EBS, Oracle ASCP, Logility, O9 Solutions) Demonstrable experience of SQL and database management Advanced skills in Excel Advanced skills in data visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI Strong skills in descriptive and diagnostic analytics Alteryx designer certification, ability to create workflows using Alteryx Demonstrable understanding and expertise in business analysis, modeling, and data management with strong attention to detail.
