Job title: Marketing Analyst - Underwriting Analytics Location: London, with occasional travel to Chelmsford Salary: Negotiable Full time Permanent Resource Solutions are working with an international insurance provider who are seeking a strong Marketing Analyst, from a financial services department, to join their team. Purpose of the role To conduct research and analysis, produce and deliver reports and dashboards in support of the company's market strategy and client aspirations; providing client insights, measuring performance, identifying and quantifying opportunities for profitable growth and service improvement. Ensure effective utilisation of internal and external data sources relating to clients and the insurance market. Provide general support in the development and delivery of enabling capabilities, initiatives and projects including data management, business processes and IT. Dimensions A key role in the establishment of the company's marketing capabilities, critical to the provision of client insight and business development across all the company's business units and geographies. Supporting best practice delivery of the methodology and utilisation of insights within the business. The role includes support to some regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. Conduct Risk, Complaints) Key Result Areas . To be a subject matter expert on client insights; supporting client segmentation initiatives, marketing campaigns and sales, distribution channel management and "Voice of Client" feedback Provide regular reporting, analysis and ad hoc deep dive analysis on marketing performance, with specific responsibilities for broker and coverholder relationships and Complaints. Provide ad hoc consultancy on request to Legal Entity and executive forums to support specific business initiatives and test business hypothesis. To identify what data is required, source internally or externally, conduct analysis and provide interpretation of business impact. Includes assessment of client needs, competitors, insurance market and macro environment trends Acquire, manage and deliver client related data to the business from across the company's systems, external sources and new arrangements with third party providers (e.g. D&B, S&P, Axco). Support client Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality in Client Relationship Management (CRM). Support technology development and promote adoption of CRM and other internal and external analytical tools (e.g. Power BI, broker-carrier tools, D&B) Person Specification The role falls within the Marketing function principally focused on developing, delivering and embedding new capabilities in addition to running a small number of existing processes. Although there is a requirement for regular monitoring and reporting, a large proportion of the work will take place in a project style environment and/or involve ad hoc research and analysis. A key element of the role will be the ability to combine underwriting and marketing perspectives to provide interpretation and insight rather than reporting. Highly analytical Ability to make connections - cause and effect Advanced IT - Excel. Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau, SQL would be an advantage but not necessary Commercial acumen Marketing and/or Underwriting knowledge Market Research
