Job Title: Female Personal Care Support Worker Location: West Chiltington-nr Horsham Hourly rate: £9 per hour Reference: DP3724 Hours/shifts: Sundays 1.30pm-7.30pm, can be flexible Summary • We are looking for Personal Care Assistant to support our 15 year old girl to help with all aspects of care and to help her fulfil her leisure time. • We are looking for someone who has great initiative and someone who can be creative about different activities that can be done. • Our daughter loves going out on walks and enjoys sensory activities like water play. • Our daughter loves music and loves being able to feel the beat of the music. • Experience is not essential but preferable; essentially a great attitude and caring nature would be preferable. You must to be able to fit into the family environment as you will be generally supporting during family time. Other Requirements • "Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9." • Must be comfortable with pets • UK driving licence-preferable • Must have access to own vehicle-preferable to get to place of employment • Other : All applicants must be willing to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check Successful applicants will be entitled to Holiday pay and will be issued employment contracts. Description Typical duties Personal Care: Washing and bathing/showering - towelling dry/ drying hair Supervision and/or assistance with showering, drying, hair washing/ brushing as required Help getting into and out of bath/shower as required General hair/skin care Using the toilet Dressing and undressing/ helping with buttons and fastenings Getting into bed Social: To access the community and walking General fun activities Person specification The successful applicant will be: Female due to personal care needs Respectful of the employer’s privacy and confidentiality Reliable with good time-keeping Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative Hygienic, tidy minded and well organised Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties Patience and possess excellent interpersonal skills Honest and cheerful Able to be flexible within the working hours provided Creative Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard Legally permitted to work in the United Kingdom Able to work at all times to high standards of Health & Safety Previous experience preferred but this is not as essential as a kind and common sense approach to this role.
