Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you will work with the wider finance team in this exciting opportunity to help shape the function going forward. Delivering an effective and value adding model through creation of best practice and leading by example. Role Working with the FP&A Manager and the wider Finance Team to deliver an effective, value adding Finance Business Partnering model The provision of timely, appropriate and accurate reporting and information needed to enable commercial directors and managers to make informed business decisions. Analysis of financial data to aid the management team in making commercial decisions To provide finance representation and support at business meetings Build and maintenance of the excel models necessary to provide excellent finance business partnering, looking to streamline and make models more efficient where possible Financial responsibility for assigned profit and cost centres, ensuring monthly actuals are complete, accurate and understood in terms of variance to prior year, budget and forecast, including management of all associated accruals and prepayments, and preparation of journal templates Ensuring business owners are fully versed in terms of their own financials, involving monthly meetings to talk through actuals and liaising throughout the month to aid the forecasting process Financial responsibility for the budget and forecasting processes relating to assigned profit and cost centres, ensuring data is pulled together, reviewed and challenged in a controlled and timely manner Providing excellent financial partnering in the production of Business Cases and Third-Party Review documents, working with Business Managers to deliver meaningful, clear and appropriate information to Third Parties What you will need to succeed CIMA or ACCA Qualified Experienced Finance Business Partner with a clear view of "what good looks like" Experience in working closely with non-financial executives and managers in order to mutually understand income and costs, variances to budget / forecast and their drivers Experience in providing strong support to non-financial managers in the production of business cases and other third-party review documents Able to prioritise workload and communicate to stakeholders as required, managing expectations whilst continuing to deliver a professional service Strong understanding of accruals and prepayments Excellent attention to detail and curiosity to understand more Energetic and keen to identify how we can be doing things better or adding value Excellent excel skills Ability to deal with large amounts of data, providing analysis and creating meaningful reports in order to demonstrate issues and trends Excellent communicator with colleagues to share learnings and experience Builds and maintains effective relationships within the team and the wider business Proactive, able to plan own workload whilst achieving deadlines Structured planning, excellent organization and time management skills Resilient, calm under pressure, and strong emotional intelligence Desirable Attributes, Skills & Experience Retail finance experience SQL reporting experience Excellent Excel and PowerPoint Skills If this sounds like your next Financial career step and the opportunity to work for a leading company appeals to your career aspirations, please apply today.
