Overview
Marks Sattin are working exclusively with a leading manufacturing business in Wakefield who are looking for a commercially focused accountant to join their lean finance team. Role Overview: Provide assistance to the Finance manager to deliver an effective Management and Financial Reporting function to the Group. Key duties include provision of timely and accurate daily, weekly and periodic financial information to the business and assisting in the period end close and production of management information. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in the period end close and preparation of management accounts: Carry out period end processing tasks to agreed deadlines Perform key balance sheet reconciliations Perform variance analysis to target (Budget, Forecast, Flash) Assist in the preparation of financial information required as part of the financing arrangement in the prescribed format and to agreed deadlines Production of accurate and timely weekly cash receipts and payments forecast Creating payment instructions ensuring requisite approval Provide timely and accurate financial information to the business in order to drive strong cost control Weekly site Variable and Fixed Production Expenses, Raw materials, Energy and Labour cost analysis Participate in site weekly management meetings. Provide financial analysis as required and drive the finance agenda at these meetings Assist in the production of annual budgets and quarterly reforecast information Ensure that all department deadlines are strictly adhered to and provide flexibility to ensure an efficient period end close process.
