Overview
Working with one of the largest general insurers in the UK we are now seeking an experienced Property Claims Specialist to join their expanding Major Loss team. As a Property Major Loss Claims Specialist you will be part of the wider Major Loss Team where you will be responsible for the investigation, negotiation and settlement of Commercial Property, Engineering and Household claims in excess of £250k. What you will be doing: - Handling your own caseload of Commercial Property, Engineering and Household Claims from cradle to grave in excess of £250k and typically circa £500k. Pro-actively achieving efficient and competitive settlements and recoveries. - Ensuring claims are thoroughly and properly estimated and unpursued claims are closed within settlement guidelines. - Liaising with underwriters and working closely with the PL property damage handlers. Supporting the quality review processes as required. Assisting the adjuster and other supplier audits. Managing expectations of customers and brokers which may involve client visits. Up to £60k per annum - Fantastic extensive range of benefits and flexible options plus Training and Career Development. - You will have a proven track record in handling complex property claims from cradle to grave. - Good understanding of expert evidence. - Have exposure of handling High Value losses in excess of £100k. - Excellent market and industry knowledge. - Able to handle own caseload of losses. - ACII preferred or working towards (support provided).
