Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Overview
Shift 6:00-2:00, 2:00-10:00, 10:00 – 6:00 (rotating -please note this shift may change) The Maintenance Engineering Technician will support and maintain all production and ancilliary equipment, ensuring optimum production performance, minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring reliability through a proactive approach to maintenance. Delivery of continuous improvement strategies and support/lead projects to improve equipment efficiencies. What you will be doing: · You will support operations in a professional manner to ensure all business targets are met. · Perform periodic maintenance checks and procedures on all production equipment in order to maximise equipment availability/performance. · Identify/perform and deliver Professional Maintenance and provide support/training to other DLR staff. · Review and analyse data and use problem solving tools to identify areas of improvement. · To respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure continuity of production, report findings and record solutions. · Ensure maintenance management system is updated for data collection and auditing. · To monitor, control, and recommend spare part stock to maximise the availability of production equipment and strive to reduce departmental costs. · To promote team working with the emphasis on a customer support ethic and a continuous improvement culture. · To provide support and advice on potential operational and performance improvements including, training and documentation. · To support the introduction of new equipment including Training, Installation, Commissioning, Customer handover and maintenance. · Manage contractors whilst on-site to ensure site safety and security standards are delivered by adhering to contractor control process. · To provide support to production and Engineering teams in problem solving activities. · To maintain a high standard of workmanship, work safely, and comply with current Health, Safety & Environmental legislation at all times. · To individually undertake projects and suggest/support continuous improvements to proactively support the Engineering Asset Care model. · Update CMMS daily to ensure equipment defect history is maintained. · Analyse equipment performance and failures by using data to help drive OEE. ?What we are looking for: · ? HNC level or equivalent in an Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical discipline · Qualified with 18 th Edition Regs. · Experience and working knowledge of using Agility CMMS. · Experience and working knowledge of BMS systems · Trained in PLC diagnostics an advantage. · Knowledge in continuous improvement techniques, 5S, SMED, Lean and Six Sigma an advantage. · IT Literate, fully conversant with MS Office. CAD an advantage. · Fully conversant with intricate, electro-mechanical control systems and schematics. · The ability to read and understand technical Elec/Mech schematics. · Able to understand and improve complex process systems through the use of well-developed engineering skills.
