Multi-Skilled Engineer Chargehand
Overview
A world leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company who are supporting companies in taking their products from early development through to commercial manufacturing. Working closely with external clients throughout the entire product life-cycle to deliver innovative solutions. The Role To optimise the operation of production and site services assets (and ancillary equipment) with technical intervention / support as required, ensuring compliance to schedule, documentation, safety and GMP. Coordinate the planning of work within the engineering team Provide a professional engineering maintenance and repair service to the assets and fabric of the site Undertake planned preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance, repair activities and inspection routines on facilities and equipment as required To improve the operation of site services plant and equipment through the application of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques and liaison with original machine and packaging suppliers Maintain familiarity with pharmaceutical systems such as change control, validation and EHS procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry requirements. Completion of cGMP documentation (e.g. log books, cleaning records) as required Requirements Nationally recognised Apprenticeship, or equivalent in an Engineering discipline NVQ level 3 in a secondary engineering discipline or completion of the site Modern Working Practices Programme. Computer literacy for site systems 5 yrs experience post apprenticeship in an engineering environment within the pharmaceutical or related industry is desirable Strong team player with open communication style, the ability to direct and train operators, apprentices, suppliers and tradesmen if and when required This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89858609
