Head of QTLA- Health and Science £32,753-£38,245 The Head of Quality, Teaching, Learning and Assessment will ensure that the delivery and assessment of programmes within the Faculty of Health and Science continue to engage, inspire and motivate students to achieve to their best potential. The successful candidate will make a positive impact on the quality of the student experience by ensuring that tutors are at the cutting edge of teaching, learning and assessment practice, and are confident to innovate. The Head of QTLA is an essential role within the Faculty’s management team, working in close collaboration with curriculum managers to design and implement an engaging staff development programme which supports lecturers and trainers to deliver consistently outstanding learning experiences. Applicants must have experience in quality auditing, be able to analyse and evaluate a wide range of both qualitative and quantative data, and be a confident user of IT systems. Successful implementation of quality initiatives to improve outcomes is an essential requirement of the post. Skills and Qualifications - Degree Level Qualification or relevant industrial experience or professional qualification - Recognised teaching qualification - Numeracy and literacy skills (to level 2 or equivalent) - Proven ability to lead and work effectively in cross college teams and establish positive relationships and bring about improvements Experience and Knowledge - Knowledge and successful experience of leadership and management - Proven ability to bring about departmental change - Experience of building successful employer / external relationships - Demonstrable record of achievement against targets and deadlines Benefits - Auto enrolment into pension scheme - Free car parking - Access to other benefits including car lease scheme, healthcare scheme and educations staff discounts.
